FAQ

What kind of clothes do I need?

As a beginner the only thing you need is comfortable training clothing (like sweatpants and a T-Shirt) - no shorts, please! We're training is barefoot - please keep your finger- and toe-nails short and don't wear any jewelry.

Further on you'll need a white Karate suit (Gi) with a belt that matches your tested level.

At the end of each Beginner's course BUSHIDO München e.V. organises a bulk order of Gis and belts, so you don't have to take care of that if you don't want to.

I have (a) medical condition(s) - can this work?

Please talk to our trainers if and how you can participate in our training. The final word on if you are allowed to train Karate or not is always with your physician!

Right now I can't afford to apply for membership - is there a discount?

In particular cases BUSHIDO München e.V. can grant discounts on seminar- or membership fees when applied for. If you're in financial trouble please get in touch with someone from the board or our Head of the Dojo. That conversation will of course be handled with the utter most privacy. We'll find a solution four you!

Do I have to become a member to participate in the Beginner's Course?

No - during the Beginner's Course you don't. After that we'd like to welcome you as a regular member to our club!

The belt-tests that I pass at BUSHIDO - are they recognized / accepted at other Dojos?

Yes. BUSHIDO München e.V. is a member of the Deutschen Karateverband (DKV). Our examiners hold official licenses from the DKV, who is a member of the WKF (World Karate Federation).
